Curious by nature.
I'm Benoît Wattinne, a cybersecurity engineer at Thales Cyber Solutions. The rest of the time, I build small tools for the people around me, and I host them myself.
Nature, mountains and fresh air.
About
Security by day, code by night, trails at the weekend
I studied engineering at JUNIA ISEN in Lille, majoring in cybersecurity with a taste of quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography. Two internships, at Bosch Security Systems and then at Thales Cyber Solutions, took me from vulnerability analysis to DevSecOps (security built into the development cycle).
Since January 2026, I have been a permanent cybersecurity consultant at Thales Cyber Solutions. My main assignment: operational security officer (RSO) for engineering environments at the AVS site in Valence. I live in Grenoble, at the foot of the mountains.
Software is my second language. Nearly all my projects start from a real need around me: converting a relative's photos, preparing for an exam, keeping a car ride fun, finding a recipe again. I host them on my own platform, hardened and automated the way I would do it for a client.
Outdoors, I garden, watch wildlife and plants, head to the mountains, ride, run, swim, and since this year I play volleyball. This site shows it: its contour lines come from hiking maps.

Nature and garden
Wildlife, plants, and a vegetable garden where you sow, wait and start again. A garden teaches patience better than any pending ticket.
